Rental Terms and Conditions

Introduction

These Terms and Conditions govern the rental of vehicles from TripTopCar Co., Ltd. ("TripTopCar", "we", "us", "our") in Phuket, Thailand. By booking or renting a vehicle from us, you ("customer", "you", "your") agree to comply with these terms. Please read them carefully before confirming your booking.

1. Booking

Bookings can be made online via our website, by email, phone, or through our authorized partners. The following are required to confirm a booking:

  • ·Valid driver's license (and International Driving Permit, if applicable)
  • ·Valid passport
  • ·Credit card in the name of the main driver (for the security deposit)
  • ·Minimum age of 21 years
  • ·At least one year of driving experience

A booking is considered confirmed only after receiving a confirmation email from TripTopCar. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone who does not meet our rental requirements.

3. Vehicle Use and Restrictions

Permitted Use

The rented vehicle may only be:

  • ·Driven by the authorized driver(s) specified in the rental agreement
  • ·Used on public roads suitable for the vehicle type
  • ·Used within the permitted geographical areas specified in the rental agreement

Prohibited Use

It is strictly prohibited to:

  • ·Drive under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any other substances that impair driving ability
  • ·Use the vehicle for any illegal activities
  • ·Transport goods or people for commercial purposes
  • ·Carry more passengers than the vehicle is designed for
  • ·Participate in races, rallies, or any motorsport events
  • ·Drive off-road or on beaches, unless the vehicle is specifically authorized for such use
  • ·Travel to certain islands or outside of Thailand without prior written permission
  • ·Smoke inside the vehicle

Violation of these restrictions may result in immediate termination of the rental agreement, forfeiture of the security deposit, and additional charges for any damages incurred.

4. Insurance and Liability

Basic Insurance

All rentals include basic insurance coverage with a deductible, the amount of which depends on the vehicle type. This insurance covers:

  • ·Third-party liability (as required by Thai law)
  • ·Vehicle damage protection with a deductible
  • ·Theft protection with a deductible

Premium Insurance

For additional peace of mind, we offer Premium Insurance packages that reduce or eliminate the deductible amount. Details and pricing for these options will be provided during the booking process.

5. Cancellation and Modification Policy

Cancellation Policy

  • ·Cancellation 7 or more days before pickup: Full refund
  • ·Cancellation 3-6 days before pickup: 70% refund
  • ·Cancellation 24-72 hours before pickup: 50% refund
  • ·Cancellation less than 24 hours before pickup: No refund

If you do not pick up the vehicle within 3 hours of the scheduled pickup time without prior notification, it will be considered a no-show, and no refund will be provided.
